FAQ

Whatever you feel most comfortable in! We recommend bathing suits, board shorts, rash guards. But as long as it is comfy and can get wet, then it’s perfect.
A positive attitude that is ready to have fun!!!

  • Sunblock
  • Water bottle
  • Bug spray, not usually necessary, it just depends on the wind!
  • Towel
  • Sunglasses – with retainer straps!
We provide the lifejackets, paddleboards, paddles, leashes, certified instructors, and an amazing time!
All paddlers should know how to swim and will be required to wear a US Coast Guard approved lifejacket at all times.
When you are launching from under the 34th Street Bridge for tours, there are some spots that are rocky, shelly, or muddy on our way out to the boards and a water shoe or flip flop is recommended. Once on your board we can place shoes under a bungee or you can leave them on!

When launching from the docks, you can wear your shoes to our dock and leave them at the dock!

Our Guided Tours can accommodate from as little as 1 to as many as 10. If you have a group larger than that please call the shop to make arrangements – we can accommodate more, we would just need to add extra staff for your safety!  We love having group functions, family reunions, team building, birthdays and more. Call us to arrange your next special event.

Our private and group lessons can accommodate from 1 to 5 people.  Having small groups allows for more personalized instruction and will make you a better paddler. Call the shop to reserve a spot or book online!

We take everything from 3 to 103! Children that are under the age of 11 will usually be on the front of the board of an accompanying adult or instructor during our tours.  We do offer Kids Camps and Clinics for ages 8-13! All children and adults should know how to swim, be good with following directions, and comfortable with bay water!
We will do our best!!!  We do ask that if you have any special needs or participants with disabilities, please inform us ahead of time so we can try to  arrange the correct staff for you!
Anything that you need locked up, keys, clothes, phone etc…We can lock in our paddle van. Your instructor will show you were to place your belongings!
Our instructors and shop have the latest marine forecasts and up to date information with them at all times. Your safety is our top priority. If we feel the conditions are not suitable (strong wind, lightning, heavy rain) for your safety then we will contact you to reschedule.  If a common time cannot be rescheduled then we will refund 100 percent.
There is no refund for no shows, missed classes, lessons, tours, or appointments.  If you need to cancel please call at least 24 hours in advance for your refund and so that spot may be given to someone else.

All bookings are subject to be cancelled due to weather, or any unforeseen circumstances, at the discretion of the instructor prior to and or during your activity.  Your safety as well as the safety of our instructors is our first priority.  If the activity needs to be cancelled due to weather, every effort will be made to reschedule the activity prior to giving a refund.  If a rescheduled time is not available for the customer then a refund will be given.

It is not necessary, however if you had an awesome time, our staff would be appreciative for the extra gratuity.  We are always looking for feedback and for ways to improve our services, an email will be sent after your event, please let us know how we did! Your comments are what makes us better!
We’re planning on providing kayak rentals just as soon as we can. We’re working on the logistics,  but in the meantime please give us a call.
